PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken a reading speed of a document in a multifunction system including a scanner 2 which reads the document to generate image data, and a printer 1 which prints the image data generated by the scanner 2. SOLUTION: A scan page data storage part 20 stores the image data generated by reading the document by the scanner 2, a scanner control part 9 of the printer 1 grasps state information of the scan page data storage part 20, and outputs a reading instruction of the document for one page to the scanner 2 on the basis of the state information.
