SUPERCONDUCTING MEMBER, AND SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNETIC LEVITATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting member and a superconducting magnetic levitation device which have a small loss in translational motion. SOLUTION: The superconducting member consists of multiple superconductors. The superconductors of the superconducting member are joined together by joint surfaces which join the superconductors physically and allow no superconducting current to flow therein. At least a part of the joint surfaces do not run at right angles with either one of surfaces in contact with the joint surfaces of the superconductors.
