PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which enables the adjustment of the illuminance with a liquid crystal display device according to that with environmental light. SOLUTION: The game machine (1) includes: cylindrical reels (3L, 3C and 3R) with symbols of multiple kinds arrayed on their outer peripheral surfaces; a start lever (6) operable by players; the main control circuit (71) which controls the drive of the reels (3L, 3C and 3R) as operated with the start lever (6) by a player; and a cabinet (20) where the reels (3L, 3C and 3R), the start lever (6) and the main control circuit (71) are installed. The cabinet (2) is provided with: an illuminance sensor (25) for detecting the illuminance with the environmental light; and a liquid crystal display device (131) for displaying images. The game machine (1) is further provided with an image control IC (86) which controls the brightness of the images shown on the liquid crystal display device (131) according to the illuminance with the environmental light detected with the illuminance sensor (25).
