<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for modeling a room impulse response. <P>SOLUTION: The method for modeling a room impulse response includes: a step of detecting a room impulse response in response to an input of a sound pressure signal obtained by a microphone when an impulse-typed sound source is excited; a step of determining boundaries between intervals so that the room impulse response is divided into the plurality of intervals on a time domain; and a step of modeling the room impulse response using a different modeling method for each of the divided intervals.
