PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor, imaging apparatus, image processing method, and program which easily achieves more effective image representation. SOLUTION: An image position detection section 213 computes a moving amount between continuous images when an imaging section 100 images a series of consecutive images including moving subjects moving to one direction. A subject specification section 214 specifies the moving subject included in each of consecutive images. The subject specification section 214 computes required moving amount which is needed not to overlap the moving subjects based on computed movement amounts between images and the moving subjects included in each image. A composition target discrimination section 215 discriminates whether it is a composition target image or not for each of consecutive images based on the computed moving amount between images and the required moving amount, and an image composition section 216 creates a panoramic image with no overlap moving subjects by combining the composition target images.
