PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive originating in a natural component, which has sufficient adhesive force and can be used at ease in the living environment without causing an adverse effect on the human body. SOLUTION: The adhesive being a creamy high viscosity fluid is produced by first adding oxalic acid into hot water accommodated in a heat resistant vessel, then stirring the resulting mixture to dissolve the oxalic acid, charging the resulting oxalic acid aqueous solution, glue and water into a heat resistant vessel, then stirring to mix them, boiling the resulting mixture of glue, oxalic acid and water, heating the mixture to 60-80°C, preferably 70°C to dissolve glue, further sufficiently stirring the resulting solution, adding methanol into the solution in such an amount that the ratio of methanol becomes 5-15 wt.%, preferably about 10 wt.% based on the total amount of the solution and methanol, and mixing the resulting mixture.
