PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner with excellent operability by enabling a more secure control on a rotation change of a rotary body assisting a move of a suction opening body or a main body along a face to be cleaned. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner 1 includes the suction opening body 10, an operational part 30 and a suction pipe 40 which are connected with the body 10 and provided apart from it and work as a swing body able to swing around the opening body 10, drive wheels 11 and 12 and a rotary brush body 14 as the rotary body coming in contact with the face to be cleaned, a drive part for driving the rotary body, a three-dimensional acceleration sensor 31 provided on the operational part 30 and for working as an angle sensing part for sensing an angle of inclinationθgenerated between the floor F and the center axis 40a of the swing body, and a control device 21 for controlling the drive part to change a rotation of the rotary body according to the angleθsensed by the angle sensing part.
