PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hair clippers allowing cutting hair at uniform height. SOLUTION: A fixed blade 2 is provided with a body part 21 in which a plurality of comb projections 22 having blades formed on both sides are arranged side by side. A movable blade 3 is provided with a body part 31 in which a plurality of comb projections 32 having blades formed on both sides are arranged side by side. The hair clippers include the fixed blade 2 and the movable blade 3 that slides and contacts the fixed blade 2. The hair is cut by reciprocatively sliding the movable blade 3 with respect to the fixed blade 2 in the side by side direction of the comb projections 22 and 32. The comb projections 22 of the fixed blade 2 have a skin contacting surface 22a which contacts the skin, and a sliding and contacting surface 22b with which the comb projections 32 of the movable blade 3 contact. The body part 21 of the fixed blade 2 has an opposite surface 21a arranged opposite to a plane including the skin contacting surface 22a. A minimum distance between the plane including the skin contacting surface 22a and the opposite surface 21a is equal to or greater than a distance between the plane including the skin contacting surface 22a and the comb projections 32 of the movable blade 3.
