PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus accurately recognizing the surface temperature of an ultrasonic probe. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises a temperature sensor 6 provided on the ultrasonic probe 2 so as to detect the temperature of a probe surface and a calculation part 1103 for calculating the temperature on the basis of input from the temperature sensor 6 that changes depending on the temperature, a storage part 7 storing the temperature characteristics of the temperature sensor 6 measured beforehand is provided, and the calculation part 1103 calculates the temperature corresponding to the temperature characteristics of the temperature sensor 6 stored in the storage part 7.
