The device (1) has a rain drop sensor (22) detecting an amount of rain drop adhered to a windscreen, and a luminous intensity sensor (2) detecting luminosity approximately around a vehicle e.g. motor vehicle such as car. A detection sensitivity of the luminous intensity sensor is adjusted by a sensitivity control device (26). A detection sensitivity of the rain drop sensor is adjusted by the sensitivity control device, and the device controls a light e.g. headlight, of the vehicle based on an output signal of the luminous intensity sensor. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a light and a wiper blade of a windscreen of a vehicle.
