<p>The channel (2) has a channel unit (4) and a measuring sensor for measuring physical and/or chemical characteristics e.g. temperature, of surrounding air in an interior of the channel unit. A measuring head is arranged in the interior of a housing of the channel unit, where the housing is provided for guiding cables. The sensor is integrated into a fire alarm (8) i.e. optical smoke detector that includes an evaluating device for evaluating the characteristics of the surrounding air. The alarm transmits an alarm signal during preset limit values for the characteristics are exceeded. The physical and/or chemical characteristics are selected from a particle loading, radiant heat, temperature, and chemical composition.</p> |
