PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an etching treatment method that can make easy adjustment of the degree of unevenness formed on the surface of a resin member and extend a lifetime of desmear liquid even when an immersion duration time of the resin member to be immersed into the desmear liquid is fixed. SOLUTION: In performing the etching treatment of a resin member using desmear liquid consisting of alkali permanganic acid etching liquid, the resin member is immersed for the etching treatment into the desmear liquid wherein etching speed is adjusted using at least one of the accelerator for accelerating the etching speed and the inhibitor for inhibiting the etching speed of the desmear liquid for a resin forming the resin member.
