PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus utilizing functions of charcoal including an absorption function and a healthy function as well as a function producing a healthy life space by radiation of far infrared beams and a deodorant function. SOLUTION: Since a charcoal molding material with which a charcoal-formed object hard to be contaminated, water resistant and fire retardant can be molded easily is developed, the material is processed and a light emitting body 3 is covered by the charcoal-formed object having a plurality of holes to obtain a lighting apparatus. Light generated by the light emitting body goes through the holes to make illumination, and heat and light generated by the light emitting body are absorbed by the charcoal-formed object to increase an radiation amount of far infrared beams. When the far infrared beams are absorbed in a human body, a movement of hydrogen molecules is accelerated and cells are activated to increase a body temperature and contribute to health promotion.
