PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of easily performing processing after a failure caused by belt fracture. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device is equipped with a plurality of first and second belts 41, 42 in parallel with each other between a ball nut 32 and a rotation output shaft 50A of a motor 50. Even if the first belt 41 is fractured among the first and second belts 41, 42, power can be transmitted by the remaining second belt 42 and the fracture of the first belt 41 is detected and reported to a warning lamp 18H.
