PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a yield is low and manufacturing costs become high because a high assembly accuracy is required for a large head comprised of a plurality of small heads. SOLUTION: A method is proposed in which arrangement ranges of ejecting parts formed in respective small heads are made to partly overlap with each other when the large head to be a drive object is comprised of the plurality of small heads with many ejecting parts, and in which a use range of the ejecting part and an ejection timing are set for each small head so that a positional gap of a joint of adjacent recording patterns among individual recording patterns formed by respective small heads which constitute a large head becomes minimum.
