<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that copes with downsizing. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a plurality of image holders; a plurality of image forming sections which form images with toner of respective colors on the respective surfaces of the plurality of image holders; a conveying belt which successively passes through the plurality of image holders and on which a recording medium is placed to convey the recording medium on a conveying path; a plurality of transfer rolls which are provided to the plurality of image holders across the conveying path, respectively, on which the conveying belt is stretched and which transfer toner images held by the respective image holders onto the record medium conveyed by the conveying belt; a driving section which drives at least one of the plurality of transfer rolls, by driving the conveying belt; and a fixing unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
