PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new hyaluronic acid and/or a salt thereof, to provide a food composition and an oral medicinal composition using the same and to provide an oral skin ameliorating agent and an oral skin water content-increasing agent comprising the hyaluronic acid and/or the salt thereof as an active ingredient.

SOLUTION: The hyaluronic acid and/or the salt thereof have ≥1,000 to <5,000 average molecular weight thereof.
