PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle height adjustment device allowing a vehicle to travel at a suitable vehicle height by quickly releasing the temporary stopping processing of vehicle height control when the vehicle is moved to a usual travelable position even if the temporary stopping processing of the vehicle height control is performed by a rise in the pressure of a vehicle height adjustment means. SOLUTION: The vehicle height adjustment device includes a control stopping part 46 for previously preventing the application of an excessive load when the excessive load is applied to an absorber unit; and a control reset part 48 for releasing the stop of the control. Further, the device includes a road surface presumption part 50 for presuming the state of the road surface on which the vehicle exists. When the control of the absorber unit is temporarily stopped by the control stopping part 46, the road surface presumption part 50 presumes the state of the road surface on which the vehicle exists. As a result of the presumption of the road surface state, when it can be determined that the vehicle is escaped from the bad road so that the excessive load is applied to the absorber unit, the control reset part 48 releases the temporary stopping processing of the control of the absorber unit by the control stopping part 46.
