PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately measure a center height of a machining tool. SOLUTION: In a center height measuring device, a distance between a track along which an edge point of a cutting tool in the case where a cutter rest moves in parallel to the X-axis orthogonal to the Z-axis which is a principal axis, and the Z-axis is obtained as a center height. The center height measuring device includes: axes; a first rotor; a second rotor 13; a third rotor 14; a first lock means; a second lock means 36a; a third lock means 42; a first displacement sensor; and a second displacement sensor 16 attached to the first rotor for detecting a displacement of a gauge surface as a center height, which is generated by abutment of the cutting tool on one side of the gauge surface, with the Z-axis as a center, when the first and the third lock means are fixed and the second lock means are released.
