DISPLAY CABINET ILLUMINATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both illumination for presentation and illumination for confirmation of display objects with saved energy by automatically changing the illumination for presentation and the illumination for confirmation of display objects to be lighted according to the mode of behavior of a person. SOLUTION: The display cabinet illumination system 1 includes a display cabinet 3 in which displayed objects 2 are stored and which faces an aisle in the front/rear direction; a lighting fixture for presentation 4 for illuminating the periphery of the display cabinet 3; a lighting fixture 5 for confirmation for illuminating the displayed objects 2 in such a way that the color tone of the displayed objects 2 stored in the display cabinet 3 can be easily recognized by the person; a first human sensor 6 with the detection area on the aisle side of the display cabinet 3; a second human sensor 7 with the detection area in the vicinity of an opening of the display cabinet 3; and a control part 8 for controlling the lighting of the lighting fixture 4 for presentation and the lighting fixture 5 for confirmation based on human sensing detection signals of the first human sensor 6 and the second human sensor 7. The control part 8 lights the lighting fixture 4 for presentation when it determines that the person is passing on the aisle side of the display cabinet 3, and lights the lighting fixture 5 for confirmation when it determines that the person is taking a displayed object 2.
