<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell power generation system equipped with a means for avoiding hydrogen-rich gas which is supplied to a fuel cell stack to deteriorate a fuel electrode in consideration of characteristic deterioration caused by a gas component of the hydrogen-rich gas. <P>SOLUTION: A CO<SB>2</SB>removing device 1 is provided at the upper stream side of a fuel electrode 7a of a fuel cell stack 7. The CO<SB>2</SB>removing device 1 is composed of two water baths which are a dissolving bath 1a and a degassing bath 1b.
