DIRECTIVE BACKLIGHT, DISPLAY DEVICE AND STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a directive backlight increasing the number of directions of light rays using only a single surface light source and capable of expanding a visual region, and to provide a display device and a stereoscopic image display device.

SOLUTION: Voltage application states to each wiring pattern which constitutes a lower electrode 123 and an upper electrode 125 are switched in a plurality of ways and a voltage value applied to each wiring pattern is individually controlled in each voltage application state. Thereby, the light ray passing through each aperture part A from the surface light source 110 is controlled so as to be directed toward a prescribed position.
