PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a rolled thread which can produce a screw having a small dent at a thread peak without depending on a special rotation number by using non-chlorine lubricant having good lubricity. SOLUTION: Rolling is carried out at the rotation number within 100 to 300 rpm by using the non chlorine lubricant including a basic oil A and basic calcium sulfonate B in an amount of more than 0 to less than 1.5 wt.%, or at the rotation number of equal to or more than 180 rpm by using the basic oil A and the basic calcium sulfonate B in an amount of 2.0 to 2.5 wt.%.
