摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of performing automatic white balance correction corresponding to the depth of water in order perform photographing imagined by a photographer under the water. SOLUTION: Information about the depth of water when photographing is obtained by a water pressure sensor 106, and an upper limit correction quantity M of a color temperature estimation limit range based on the information about the depth of water. A WB correction coefficient computing section 161 corrects the color temperature estimation limit range previously stored in a Flash memory 116. When the color temperature of a light source estimated based on image data obtained through an imaging element 102 exists within the corrected color temperature estimation limit range, the color temperature is used to compute a WB correction coefficient. On the other hand, when the estimated color temperature of the light source is out of the color temperature estimation limit range, the color temperature is limited within the color temperature estimation limit range to compute the WB correction coefficient.
