PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for a two-wheeled vehicle, having superior abrasion resistance as well as gripping force capable of maintaining lateral gripping force even during abrasion by improving the lateral gripping force when the two-wheeled vehicle turnably travels. SOLUTION: A protective belt 17 is provided inside of the tire radial direction of a tread. A different kind of rubber 20 with its surface exposed to a tread surface and also penetrating in the tire radial direction through the inside of the tread is arranged on each tread shoulder part 11a of a tread 11, located adjacently to each sidewall 12. The width of the rubber 20, along the tread surface is set within a range of not less than 6% nor less than 20% of a tread developed width, and the end thereof on the side of the sidewall is positioned within a range of not less than 5% nor less than 10% of the tread developed width directed from a tread end 11a toward a tread center. The rubber 20 is made of a rubber member having a lower dynamic modulus of elasticity than that of a rubber member located adjacently to the side of the tread center, and is different in the dynamic modulus of elasticity depending on arrangement on each tread shoulder part.
