PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly complete shifting control when a new target speed change stage is set before the end of switching control for the speed change stage and the switching control for the speed change stage is consecutive. SOLUTION: This automatic transmission control device includes: a first friction element to be fastened in a first shift stage, released in a second shift stage after first shift, and fastened in a third shift stage after second shift, a second friction element to be released in the first shift stage, fastened in the second shift stage, and fastened in the third shift stage, and a third friction element to be fastened in the first shift stage, fastened in the second shift stage, and released in the third shift stage. When the target speed change stage is changed from the second shift stage to the third shift stage after detecting the start of the inertia phase of the first speed, it starts the second shift while executing the first shift and it selects as a hydraulic pressure command value for the first friction element, greater one of a hydraulic pressure command value in the first shift and a hydraulic pressure command value in the second shift.
