PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reinforcing a mortar sprayed layer constructed on the slope of a natural ground capable of preventing the mortar sprayed layer from being deteriorated by preventing the area of the slope around the pipes for drainage installed in the slope from being cracked. SOLUTION: In this method for reinforcing the mortar sprayed layer 5 formed around the pipes 6 for drainage installed in the slope 1 of the natural ground, a reinforcing bar unit 10 having an annular reinforcing bar 11 larger than the pipe and a plurality of leg members 12, 13, 14 for holding the annular reinforcing bar around the pipe at a predetermined height from the slope and generally horizontally to the slope is used. Before mortar is sprayed, the reinforcing unit 10 is installed around the pipe installed in the slope. The annular reinforcing bar 11 is disposed around the pipe at a predetermined distance L<SB>1</SB>. The annular reinforcing bar is held by the leg members at a predetermined height H<SB>3</SB>from the slope.
