<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage tank for a hot water supply device with a body having a compact low profile, a small installation area and a high degree of freedom in installation, the hot water storage tank having improved strength and pressure proofing performance, and high serviceability. <P>SOLUTION: The hot water storage tank 4 for the hot water supply device stores hot water heated up to a selective temperature. It is formed in an angular or flat sectional shape and has a partition plate 11 inside. In this construction, the hot water storage tank 4 with its compact casing having a smaller installation area (a depth) has improved pressure capacity and superior versatility and serviceability when installed, while securing a sufficient storage amount of hot water.
