<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and correctly set printing conditions which match the specification of printing paper to a printer device. <P>SOLUTION: The printer device includes: a printing section by which characters and so on representing print data given externally are printed on printing paper set in a corresponding paper tray according to printing conditions determined from the specification of the printing paper; a management table in which, for each of a plurality of types of printing paper set in the paper trays, printing condition data representing printing conditions for printing paper are stored so as to correspond to the paper types; an image reading section which reads an image indicating the type of printing paper set in each paper tray; and a control section by which the image read by the image reading section is analyzed to thereby determine the type of printing paper set in the paper tray, and printing condition data corresponding to the paper type is read from the management table and transmitted to the printing section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
