MARINE EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment device for a marine diesel engine capable of collecting solid particles such as SO3and soot harmful to a human body from the exhaust gas discharged from a stack through the exhaust gas duct of the marine diesel engine.

SOLUTION: An electric dust collecting means formed of a discharge electrode and a dust collecting electrode and a filter means for catching the solid particles contained in the exhaust gas are disposed along the exhaust gas duct of the marine diesel engine. A seawater spraying means is installed on the pre-stage of the electric dust collecting means. A temperature control means for detecting the temperature of the exhaust gas and controlling the temperature by controlling the spray amount by the seawater spraying means is so installed that the temperature of the exhaust gas at the inlet of the electric dust collecting means is equal to an acid-dew point temperature.
