<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake duct used for the internal combustion engine of an automobile, which has a flexibility for piping while avoiding obstacles in an engine room, and also has a rigidity to retain the shape without causing buckling, and also to provide a method of manufacturing the intake duct. <P>SOLUTION: In this intake duct for sucking and guiding the outside air into the internal combustion engine, a band body 2 made of a nonwoven fabric comprising thermoplastic resin fibers is so spirally wound as to be partly overlapped to form a tubular body.
