PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mode switching system which switches a power consuming unit to an energy-saving mode at an appropriate timing. SOLUTION: When the power source of a digital camera is turned on, the system drives the digital camera in a regular mode (S100). A switching threshold value Ts is set to 20 sec (S101). Time measurement is started (S102). When an elapsed time T exceeds the switching threshold value Ts, the digital camera is switched to the energy-saving mode (S105). If an input operation is performed before the elapsed time T exceeds the switching threshold value Ts, the regular mode is performed. After the input operation, the switching threshold value Ts is set to 5 sec. The elapsed time T is reset to 0 second and time measurement is started again (S102). COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
