PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can obtain an oriented film high in thickness accuracy by intentionally controlling the orientation in the width direction of the heated film. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the oriented film, by making the temperature of a specified position of the film higher than the other positions when the film is stretched in the width direction, the neck drawing of the film is started from the specified position. Only an aimed position of an oriented rolled web is heated additionally to form a trigger for the neck drawing, and the neck drawing is started forcibly from the position.
