PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape cartridge in which a non-contact memory element (MIC)recording contents of information or the like recorded in a magnetic tape according to a request of a recording and reproducing device or the like using a magnetic tape cartridge can be attached to a bottom face of a cartridge case so that the upper face of the non-contact memory element (MIC) forms an angle of 45 degrees with the bottom face. SOLUTION: A side edge lower holding part 41 holding a side edge of the MIC 30 is provided at a lower case 3 constituting the cartridge case. A side edge upper holding part 42 holding a side edge of the MIC 30 is provided at an upper case 2. The MIC 30 is arranged with its top surface at substantially 45 degrees to the bottom face 3B of the cartridge case by use of the side edge upper and lower holding parts 41, 42.
