PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a gathering machine capable of managing paper bundles of a plurality of respective distribution destinations, by gathering the paper bundles including paper corresponding to desired distribution destinations by the desired copy number. SOLUTION: This control device for the gathering machine is provided for gathering the paper bundles in accordance with the distribution destinations by sending out the paper respectively placed in a plurality of shelf parts, and has a first storage means for storing distribution destination information for specifying the distribution destinations, information on the number of copies for specifying the number of the paper bundles required with every distribution destination and paper classification information for specifying a classification of the paper, a second storage means for storing shelf part information for specifying a shelf part of the a gathering machine and the paper classification information on the paper placed in the shelf part, and a control signal means for outputting a control signal to the gathering machine by generating the control signal for associatively controlling the information on the number of copies and the shelf part information from the first storage means and the second storage means based on the distribution destination information corresponding to the desired distribution destination.
