PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharged paper storage device capable of knowing the state of a storage amount at a middle point of time until a full state, with respect to paper stored in a paper storage tray. SOLUTION: The discharged paper storage device 1 comprises a paper discharging port 18, a paper passing detecting means 21, the paper storage tray 19, a lever 11, a rotation detecting means 12, and a measuring computing means. The measuring computing means measures abutting required time which is a lapse since the paper passing detecting means 21 detects passing start of the paper P until the rotation detecting means 12 detects rotating action start in a normal direction of a pivot 16 of the lever 11.
