PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing device capable of easily performing repairs of such as supply of a material for a post-processing unit and release of defective operation, and simplifying a structure of a device therefor. SOLUTION: The post-processing device comprises a first stack tray for stacking and storing sheets, a sheet stacking means for stacking sheets, a saddle-stitching staple unit for stitching center portions of a sheet bundle stacked on the sheet stacking means, a second stack tray for stacking and storing treated sheets from the sheet stacking means, and a tray elevating/lowering means for supporting the first stack tray in an elevating/lowering manner. The first stack tray and the second stack tray are vertically arranged in this order. The sheet stacking means is arranged at an intermediate position between the first stack tray and the second stack tray. An opening/closing cover for repairing the saddle stitching staple unit is provided on an exterior cover between the first stack tray and the second stack tray. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
