A data processor (100) which processes created data (210) created by an application part (170) to generate output data in a format which can be accepted by a printer (160). The data processor is provided with a standard setting storage section (182) in which standard setting data expressing a mode for instructing the printer to form an image is stored in advance, a set value comparing section (184) which compares an individual setting data (211) as the attribute of instance data (212) included in the created data (210) with the standard setting data stored in the standard setting storage section (182), a confirmation display section (183) which displays the contents of both of the individual setting data and the standard setting data when they are not coincident as the result of comparing, a setting update section (185) which updates the individual setting data according to operation, and a change processing section (185) which converts the instance data (212) to the output data in the format which can be accepted by the printer (160) according to the individual setting data updated by the setting update section.
