The device has a set of contact surfaces (2, 4) provided for a stack (1) of sheet-like goods, where each surface has a supporting frame (6) in which a pressing beam (12) for fixing the stack in a cutting position is guided in a movable manner. A cutting blade (10) is guided in the beam in a direction perpendicular to the surfaces. An adjusting unit is provided for adjusting an angle between a cutting plane of the blade and a front side (1a) of a stack section, which is to be cut. A pressure plate (18) forms a part of a stretching and handling device and lies on a flat side of the stack.
