<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suitable emergency light unit making use of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The emergency light unit 100 includes the fuel cell 2, a secondary battery 3 charged by an external power supply 1 or the fuel cell 2, a light-emitting element for emergency light emitting light with supply of power, a power failure detection section 5 for detecting power failure of the external power supply 1, a timer 6 for measuring time, a switching section 7 for switching supply of power to the light-emitting element for emergency light in response to drive of the external power supply 1 or the fuel cell 2 among the external power supply 1, the fuel cell 2, and the secondary battery 3 and switching recharging to the secondary battery 3 between the external power supply 1 and the fuel cell 2, and a control section 8 detecting power failure by the power failure detection section 5 and controlling to start driving of the fuel cell 2 as the switching section 7 switches supply of power to the light-emitting element 4 for an emergency light from the external power supply 1 to the secondary battery 3 when the fuel cell 2 is not driven and the timer 6 detects that the power failure continues during a designated period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
