<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which shortens (1) start-up/fall time of a semiconductor light emitting element and has high setting accuracy of illuminance of the semiconductor light emitting element (2) regardless of an operating condition just before lighting of the semiconductor light emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device using the semiconductor light emitting element which emits light by supplied driving current from a constant current source includes a forward voltage generating means which generates a forward voltage, lower than the voltage by which the semiconductor light emitting element starts lighting, in the semiconductor light emitting element during a non-lighting period of the semiconductor light emitting element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
