<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent light irradiated on a finger from entering an optical image from inside of the finger due to reflection on a surface skin of the finger, to obtain a vivid image of a vein pattern, in a vein image reader for reading an optical image of a vascular tissue in the illuminated finger by a solid imaging device. <P>SOLUTION: Near-infrared light P emitted from a light source 13 is made directly incident on the inside of a finger F through a finger supporting projection 12 which transmits the near-infrared light P without leakage and supports a fingerprint face (pad) Fu of a finger F. An optical image Q as a vein image from inside of the finger F derived through a transparent cover 14 as a read window W while moving the finger F in a direction (X) of its root is guided from a mirror 15 just below the transparent cover 14 to a line type imaging device 17 through an optical system 16 and an IR filter 18 for imaging. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
