PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flexible, high purity expanded graphite sheet, a method of manufacturing the same, and a carbon crucible lining using the sheet. SOLUTION: The flexible, high purity expanded graphite sheet of the invention is obtained by highly purifying treatment of an expanded graphite sheet having a bulk density of 0.7-1.3 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and a thickness of 0.2-1.0 mm so that the graphite sheet has an impurity content of 5 ppm or less, and can be used for a carbon crucible lining.
