PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocating tool improved in efficiency of disassembly, repair, and assembly of a vibration reducing mechanism. SOLUTION: A hammering tool 1 is formed of a gear housing 30 which includes a gear cover 31A, a crank case 31B, a cylinder case 32, a hood 33A, a crank cover 33B, and a back cover 33C. The crank case 31B is made of aluminum, and has a crank support portion 31B1 for supporting a reciprocative movement converting portion, and a housing portion 31B2 for housing therein the vibration reducing mechanism 70. The crank cover 33B includes a cover main body 33B1, and an extension portion 33B2 extending from the cover main body 33B1 toward a handle 10.
