PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN system which prevents communication quality reduction or a distribution failure due to radio interferences caused by performing multicast communication over a wireless LAN. SOLUTION: A list and channel information of POS registers under control are acquired from respective access points by a multicast control module. Thereafter, the multicast control module generates, from the information, a multicast group constituted of access points of different channels. When each of multicast is to be executed, radio wave transmission is suppressed, by controlling access points belonging to the other multicast group. As a result, within each multicast group, each of access points uses a different channel, and reduces the effects of radio interference and realizes distribution in a short time.
