SOLUTION: A support information output apparatus 100 includes: a support information generating section 101 for generating support information; an output destination detecting section 107 for detecting output apparatus capable of outputting the support information generated by the support information generating section; an output destination selecting section 108 for selecting an output destination of the support information from among the output apparatus detected by the output destination detecting section 107. In the output apparatus 100, the output destination selecting section 108 determines whether an equipment output apparatus mounted on or externally connected to a video output apparatus 120 is included in the output apparatuses detected by the output destination detecting section 107.
