PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detergent properties by preventing any occurrence of places difficult to clean in a pressure-regulating chamber. SOLUTION: The pressure-regulating chamber 25 of a paint regulator has a constitution that a diaphragm for pressure regulation is provided on a body portion 21 having a concave portion 21a with an upper surface opened and with a circular cross-section so as to cover the upper surface of the concave portion 21a. An inflow mouth for cleaning 36 opening in a shape having an inclination radially is provided at a position shifted to the outer peripheral side from the center of the concave portion 21a in the body portion 21 of the paint regulator. A control device practices the cleaning process by controlling the supply of a cleaning liquid from the inflow mouth for cleaning 36 to allow the cleaning liquid in the pressure-regulating chamber 25 to produce a swirling flow (refer to an arrow S).
