The invention provides general-purpose composite materials. The first embodiment of the invention is a composite material prepared by combining a cationic species, an organic polymer and an anionic species through mixing which is characterized by having amorphous structure. This composite material is a general-purpose one which can exert various characteristics inherent in the organic polymer and can be obtained by a simple process. The second embodiment of the invention is a composite material prepared by combining calcium ions, an organic polymer, and an anionic species through mixing which is characterized by having amorphous structure. This composite material is a stable one which can be obtained by a simple process.
