<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a DC/DC converter mounted in a communication circuit that power consumption increases because the DC/DC converter is used with low conversion efficiency when a maximum load is not applied to a communication port although a DC/DC converter corresponding to the maximum power when a maximum load is applied to the communication port is generally employed. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 21 mounted in the control circuit 20 of information communication equipment monitors the number of active state of communication ports 34-1 to 34-48 mounted in a communication circuit 30, and a DC/DC control 22 for holding the information about increase/decrease in number of active state of the communication ports 34-1 to 34-48 and the number of DC/DC converters required depending on the number of active state is provided in the control circuit 20. The number of DC/DC converters 31-1 to 31-3 actually required when the number of active state of communication ports 34-1 to 34-48 increases or decreases is determined, and only the optimal number of DC/DC converters 31-1 to 31-3 are operated thus realizing power saving of the information communication equipment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
