PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep synchronism of the images taken by an imaging apparatus mounting a plurality of image sensors. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a plurality of image sensors 2a-2d, and one timing generator 10 providing an identical drive signal to each of the plurality of image sensors 2a-2d. Preferably, it comprises a timing generator 10, means 6a-6d provided in correspondence with the image sensors and preprocessing the output signals therefrom, digital signal processing means 7a-7d provided in correspondence with the image sensors and performing image processing of the output signals from the preprocessing means, and an operation processing means 8 for processing the output image data from each digital signal processing means integrally are provided suitably on a substrate on which the plurality of image sensors 2a-2d.
